Cornerstone is a parish gathering – one for men and one for women. It is a spiritual process which calls us together to grow personally in the knowledge and love of God. It is the building of community, person by person, family by family, parish by parish with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone.
The Cornerstone Teams are Sacred Heart parishioners who have joined together and dedicated their time for you. Some will give talks on selected themes or lead small discussion groups. Others will work with scripture, prayer services, provide music, and much more. Each person has a specific role, but there is only one goal – to grow personally in the knowledge and love of God and help others to come to know and love Him. All meals, snacks and sleeping accommodations will be arranged by the team so you don’t have to worry about anything, only to come.
The speakers, volunteers from the parish, will share their own personal experiences of God’s grace and love in their lives. It is through witnessing how God is always with us that we grow in our knowledge of His abounding love for us.
The gathering
is an overnight retreat which begins on Friday evening at 7:00 Pm and ends on Saturday
evening with a closing Mass at 8:45 PM.
There will be time for reflection, prayer and sharing life’s experiences.
On Friday evening, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available and on Saturday the celebration of the Eucharist will highlight the weekend. The closing Mass will be followed by a community celebration for you, your family, friends and team members in the cafeteria.
If you are interested in joining, please call the rectory.
